Taylor’s Port Visitor’s Centre

Lost & Found were delighted to propose a series of decorating solutions from concept to reality for the new Taylor’s Port Visitor’s Centre in Vila Nova de Gaia.

We created a decorating scheme that reflected the 300 year old history of the company with a 21st Century feel.  Portuguese heritage was important and this was reflected in the re-purposing (doors into tables), restoration (clocks & furniture) and refurbishing (chairs and benches) of many traditional pieces of furniture.

This was carefully teamed with a variety of practical and luxurious fabrics in the upholstery and lighting was carefully sourced by Lost & Found from the BTC UK range.

The result was elegant, understated, dignified and practical!

“When we decided to refurbish the Taylor’s Port visitors’ centre we turned to Lost and Found to help us. Bringing them in at the initial design phase ensured that we benefitted from their enlightened ideas and new solutions. This was very important to us as we wanted to make something of very high quality that captured both a sense of freshness yet maintained the authentic feel of our company and the location where we have been doing business for over 324 years.

Lost and Found were, from the start, great partners. They were clear and transparent about what they could do for us – this approach meant that we were able to build the right team for the project. L&F exceeded our expectations. They were always available and were open to have their ideas discussed. They provided an excellent execution of works, on time and on budget. I look forward to working with them on future projects.”
